Bring depth, texture and a more considered look to your staircase with Blakedown Midnight Wood. Designed with the character of natural timber and the everyday practicality of steel, it helps create a continuous handrail run for staircases that split in two directions from a central landing.

The rich wood effect finish is created using a vinyl wrap process, bonding a decorative surface to a strong steel core. This gives the handrail visible grain, subtle tonal detail, and a lighter, easier-to-maintain design that is simple to clean and made for everyday use.

Unlike a standard painted finish, Midnight Wood has texture and tonal variation that brings warmth and depth to the space. It gives you the look of natural wood, but with less maintenance than real timber. There is no sanding, staining or sealing needed, making it a practical choice for modern homes, monochrome interiors and more characterful spaces.

A discreet join line will be present on the underside of each pole as part of the wrapping process. This is a normal feature of the finish and should be positioned facing downwards during installation, where it will sit out of sight once fitted.

Designed for T-shaped staircases, this system helps the handrail follow both directions from a central landing while keeping the layout neat and balanced.
