Fitting Guides Frequently Asked QuestionsMeasure along the path the handrail will follow. Start at the first end point and follow the stairs and any landings to the final end point.
Measuring Stairs with Turns
Measure each straight section and add them together to get your total length.
For best results, measure from corner to corner where the walls meet.
Don't worry about corner fittings or adjusting your measurements. We've already accounted for these in our calculations, so simply enter your total length as measured
A turn is any point where the handrail changes direction, such as around a corner or changes angle.
Measure each straight section between the turns along the line the handrail will follow.
The calculator will add the correct corner fittings based on the number of turns you enter.
